Malaysia as a nation, the Constitution of Malaysia is the supreme law. As the Supreme law of Malaysia, any law which is contradicting the supreme law will be automatic will not in practice. The highest law will be used instead.
In Malaysia, judgment on the case of Indra, made our highest law became disabled. If the highest law cannot solve the law problems, it resembles that our constitution is violated. Although in 2017, the case back on track, yet the authority failed to execute the court order.
As Islam is the federal religion as stated in the constitution, the other non-Islamic religions are allowed to practice as per law. We Malaysian, as a multiracial community came from various religious orders yet everyone is bounded by the same law.
The conversion into different believe is allowed in certain religions and certain religion does not. Certain religions allowed both ways in or out, certain religions let one way only, in Hinduism does not accept conversion either way because conversion is a sin according to Hinduism. Anybody can practice (sadhana without convert) Hinduism as they like.
Why there is no conversion in Hinduism? Hindus believe that God is one. All the human race came or coming from the same God. Every single thing happens because of God. It is His will. Human beings cannot change His will. Whoever goes against His will, is a sinner. By changing one's faith is contradicting His will. Human beings are given full freedom to decide in believing Him. But within a number of re-birth, we must reach the finishing line, reaching God (moksha).
Hindus were quiet for so long on conversion issues, it does not mean that we accept conversions. CONVERSION is SIN according to Hinduism. But we, Hindus in Malaysia were never against conversion. There are thousands of former Hindus (anarya, apostate from Hinduism) in Malaysia.
In Malaysia, we are going through a series of conversion issues. These issues were not good for Malaysia as a nation. Conversion is not a real issue for Hindus. It is a purely personal right of the person. The person who converts into different faith is solely responsible for his actions. The deal is between God and the person himself. We, the Hindus got no objection to conversion, because during ‘judgment’ the person is answerable, not us.
Survival Key of Malaysia
The survival key of Malaysia up to today and the future is the UNITY among citizens of Malaysia. I believe we want a prosperous Malaysia, not a surviving Malaysia. We are the 3rd and 4th generations are enjoying today in Malaysia, because of our forefathers’ understanding and realization. Our forefathers built this country together. Destiny has brought us together from different continents and different civilizations, I believe there is a bigger plan for Malaysian in the future by the Almighty. So we must sort out petty issues like conversion.
I am not a Muslim
I am not a Muslim to advise you. I believe I have no right to talk about Islam. But issues about conversions on Hindus, I believe I got full right responsibility as I am a Hindu.
Please read patiently. Muslims must ponder deeper on these conversion issues. Particularly the method of a person converts into the religion. If the person purely understands the religion and embraces the faith by heart, I for God to bless them. There are many Hindus had been converted, no one complains. But you see how things happen in our country, convert a child without the mother’s consent, is this how Prophet Muhammad converts the Arabs? I don’t think so.
I had read about the Prophet, and how the Arabs embrace Islam. The prophet definitely never does in such a way, what was happening here. I heard that Prophet Muhammad thinks that a mother’s concern is very important in case of conversion as you know. A father converted a child to Islam without the mother a non-Muslim. Prophet sent back the child to the mother. (DS. Anwar Ibrahim). Those hiding Prasana Diksa, don't you see that you are going against your prophet?
The Prophet (PBUH) stated that Paradise is under the feet of mothers as per the hadith.
"The mother is in the middle of the doors of Paradise." (Ibn Hanbal, V, 198);
"Paradise is under the feet of mothers." (Nasai, Jihad, 6)
How Prasana can serve the mother if she was separated from her mother? You need to answer during judgment day.
Even your Prophet patiently waited one year to reclaim Mecca from the Quraisy, that one year looks like a loss to Islam, but actually that precious one year had built the love on Islam among Quraisy people. The Prophet knew this. This information I learn in our Islamic History books.
In Hinduism, the father and the mother are mutually responsible. I personally believe that the mother is most important as your Prophet’s view. I believe the Prophet has his own view. In my view, there is a particular reason. If a person wants to convert, the person must get permission from the mother regardless of age as long the mother alive. ‘Heaven is under the mother’s feet, a commonly used Malay proverb. It is the umbilical link between the mother and the child. You cannot simply deny this relationship in the name of God.
Conversion in a proper method is ideal for Islam as the federal religion. If the Muslims can set a good example of the way of Islamic life, I think it can show the grace of Islam. If you converting people in this kind of method (Indra issue), you might win for now but not an absolute win for Islam. I do not want to elaborate on how things happen in Malaysia. Most Malaysian knew what is happening.

Every single drop of the mother's tears is the curse for those who put her in the situation. It is also a curse for the nation.
Uphold Constitution of Malaysia
Any conversion that happens within non-Muslims must be according to the Constitution of Malaysia.
Non-Muslim marriages registered according to the law with the National Registration Department. So the law supposed to decide. If we want the divorce, we must apply through the NRD. Conversion also must through NRD. But in this cases Marriage Registration is a failed document.

Another mother's tears. Curse too.
In our country, religion is also constituted by the law. So, I believe when a person wants to change his religion, he or she must go through the same channel. By jumping the channel, you are not only disgracing the law but your religion too. You are not playing a proper game. You can cover up your disability, but the almighty God is watching, don’t you realize.
The proper procedure for conversions.
Changing the earlier registered religion must be through NRD. Do not let the change through other doors. All the non-Muslims registered their religious status with NRD, so do to deregister.
Suggestions to NRD,
1.Parent's Consent
If a person wants to change into any religion, he or she must get their parent's permission as long as their parent alive, regardless of age. This applies to every renouncer. Because of the person born through the parents.
2. All Parties Acknowledged
If it involves 2 persons, both parties must acknowledge the renouncement. If both are major then no issue. Maybe just heart feeling only.
a.Apply Renouncement through NRD
Apply for renouncement through the law which approved the marriage or register of the child’s birth. All the parties involved in the issue must present and acknowledged. I think our Constitution has clauses on these. Please check if any. When I registered my child’s birth, I registered the name, gender, religion, and race. It supposed legally bounded according to the Constitution. If I want to change the name or gender, then I need to apply it through the law. So the change of religion we must go through the same channel. Correct me if I am wrong. The Constitution supposed to able to guarantee the religion of every Malaysian citizen. Don’t make the highest law of Malaysia become disable on conversion issues. At this point, the highest law in Malaysia cannot protect my child’s religion!
If any disputes, bring the case to the court of law.
b.Apply New religion through NRD
Once NRD or court-approved the renouncement, then the person is free to choose according to the law and free to join the religion of his choice. Register his new religion within the same law; will honor the Constitution of Malaysia as the highest law of the nation. At this point no dispute.
i. Now, these people are free as their own choice. Then nobody can argue. No heart feeling, everybody should happy by the conversion. God sure bless everybody.
ii. If the convert is fully understood the religion of his choice, I think nothing to hide. The truth of the religion will have prevailed, and the people around him will respect and maybe will follow.
The proper method of conversion will bring real love on the religion and its people. True religion should convey its messages in a proper way.
3.
Divorce through NRD.a. No second channel.
No other law should apply other Malaysian Constitution (Civil Law), the law in which the marriage took place.
b. Both parties must be from the same religion.
When registration took place both were Hindu, so when the divorce takes place both must be in the same in order to execute the divorce. If one changes religion without the knowledge of another party, that Conversion should be null and void. He /She should be lost all the authority over the agreement (for example lost the custody of children etc.).
c. There should NOT be an automatic divorce when one converts out.
d. Cannot execute divorce from different laws.
Act fast to ensure our harmony is preserved like our Malaysian founding forefathers. We all live in the only world that we have...
